PIANO

What’s included

Weekly Lessons

BMA’s curriculum-based piano program focuses on developing the student’s technical and theoretical mastery first with methodology books and exercises suited to meet their individual learning needs.

We encourage students to play varied repertoire which allows the student to critically think, interests them, and teaches them how to make informed musical interpretations.

BMA’s core content and curriculum benchmarks have been standardized to ensure fast and steady progress for students of all ages and skill levels.

Follow Up

All lessons are video recorded and you’ll be assigned homework weekly to help you track your progress. Throughout the week, students in both the Discovery and Performance Tracks are able to log into office hours for extra help at no cost. There you’ll be paired with another student or a coach to review and hone your work. This will also be an opportunity to grow in your collaboration and feedback skills.

Evaluations & Opportunities

Performance Track students at the end of each calendar year are given a BMA vocal assessment to ensure you are on the path to achieving your goals. After the assessment is completed, a video session will be scheduled with your instructor to relay your end of course evaluation. They will provide you a retro on your strengths, weaknesses and areas to improve.

All BMA students are welcomed to participate in the twice-yearly live and virtual recitals (Spring/Winter). Additionally all students are supported to participate in monthly workshops, group cohorts, performance outreach, and competitions.
