EARLY STARTERS
What’s included
Weekly Lessons
BMA's Early Starters Program is dedicated for parents and children ages 2-5 years old to begin their child's musical journey together. During these 45-minute lessons musical play and exploration is key.
Parents will learn with their child:
- Note Reading and Recognition
- Fundamental musical building blocks using the Orff methodology
multi-sensory percussive and melodic exercises
- At-home techniques for musical soothing, play, and re-direction
Follow Up
All lessons are video recorded and you’ll be assigned homework weekly to help you track your progress. In addition, all Early Starters families receive a workbook to supplement their learning at home. Parents are encouraged to record their play/practice time at home to help track how the information is transferred and applied at home.
Depending on the age of the child and his or her level of development, our program is designed to see students matriculate into focused instrument instruction within as few as three months of enrollment into the Early Starters program.
